Ipswich was Queenslands oldest provincial town and now is one of the state's oldest cities. This heritage and the historical impact that Ipswich and its residents had on the development of Queensland and Australia can be experienced through a variety of heritage attractions. As well as heritage, Ipswich has always had a great tradition in artistic and cultural pursuits. Our local art galleries and music/theatre groups are a great way to get a taste of the cultural side of Ipswich.
