Ipswich Motorsport Precinct incorporates Australia's premier Championship Drag Racing Complex, Willowbank Raceway, which is home of the Winternationals and the Australian Nationals, and the Queensland Raceway, host of Round 7 of the V8 Supercar Championship, the Queensland 300, which is televised nationally. The precinct incorporates a total of 138 hectares of motorsport facilities, that also includes Ipswich Kart Club and Ipswich West Moreton Auto Club. It is situated five minutes south of RAAF Base Amberley, isolated from urban encroachment, yet less then 15 minutes to the Central Business District of Ipswich and is located on national and state transport arterials. The Precinct attracts more than 250,000 passionate fans annually and operates within a six kilometre noise buffer zone and is the catalyst for other initiatives.

Willowbank Raceway offers a year round program of drag racing entertainment for the whole family. Six major events are held annually including the Winternationals held over the three days of the Queen's Birthday holiday weekend in June and the Australian Drag Racing Nationals (the oldest Australian Drag racing event) are held on the first weekend November each year.
